DETAILED PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Chain-driven rotary tables for high loads

The rotary table is a welded construction using standardized segments. A chain around the rotary table rim is driven from a stationary drive station. The individual segments are provided with cover plates. One segment is provided with a hatch for maintenance of the rollers.

Principle
Rotary table systems are used in various fields of application. The high dynamic response of the system leads to rapid rotary table travel. The systems permit different modes of operation, e.g. indexing, continuous, or continuous with foam stop. The drive, the rollers and the centre console with four-point mountings are fixed to the hall floor and bedded in mortar. The interchangeable roller conveyor is bolted to the segment. Either plastic or steel rollers can be used.
Technology
A pipe loop is installed on the rotary table for supply of operating fluids. The fluids are fed via slip ring bodies and a rotary distributor on the rotary table, or by means of units that travel with the mould carrier. Only low transverse forces occur in the four-point mount. Chain elongation can be compensated by an automatic tensioning station. The incremental position sensor system ensures very precise positioning of the rotary table. A travelling apron for the operator can also be installed on the segments. The fixing of the mould carriers can be adapted to customer?s requirements. The mould carrier can be controlled from either a centralized or decentralized control unit.
Customer benefits
  • A robust low-maintenance steel construction provides high load-bearing strength.
  • Rotary tables can achieve high productivity rates.
  • Ancillary equipment such as robots, suction, etc. can be integrated to achieve different system configurations.
  • The technical data of the rotary table are designed according to requirements.
  • Wear is reduced by means of levelled and sprung rollers.
  • The rollers are fixed to the hall floor, and therefore no pits are necessary.
  • The mould carrier can be equipped with its own drive or actuated externally.
  • Various safety concepts are available.
  • The safety-relevant mould-carrier and mould functions are automatically disconnected in the operating area
