Hybrid machines
Hybrid machines can be used for the flexible and economical processing of abrasive PUR components. The filled components can be fed continuously or discontinuously.

Principle
Hybrid machines are suitable for metering PUR components containing abrasive fillers such as glass fibres or wollastonite. The component containing the filler is metered by means of a metering piston. The unfilled component is metered with a conventional pump, usually an axial piston pump.
Technology
Two different models of hybrid machine are available. Where a single metering piston is used, the filled component is fed discontinuously. A continuous stream of the filled component can be achieved with two metering pistons. The tandem arrangement combines the advantages of pump metering with those of piston metering.

Hybrid machines offer a flexible and cost effective means of processing abrasive PUR components. A technically and economically optimum machine design is assured thanks to the hybrid technology.
